It is with deep sadness that we must announce that Prof. Giovanni Andrea Cornia passed away. He had been teaching Development Economics for several years in our master programme in Cooperation and Development, in Pavia. He certainly was a mentor for many of us. His knowledge was simply exceptional, but also his personal dedication to the weakest segment of the society. Andrea, we will always remember with gratitude your friendship. May you rest in peace.
